The Congleton education Community Partnership (CeCP) are delighted to announce that we are recruiting applicants for the 2016-2017 School Direct Primary PGCE Programme in partnership with Staffordshire University. Staffordshire University has had an OFSTED Outstanding rating for its PGCE provision over the last 12 years and we are looking forward to a strong partnership that will ensure the very best provision for our successful applicants.
We currently have 12 primary schools and 2 high schools in our Partnership. Some of the primary schools have similar levels of deprivation as any inner-city area, others are in more affluent suburbs. Half the schools have links to the Church of England, three are foundation schools. Five of the primary schools are academies and we have a multi-academy trust with one high school and two primary schools. One placement will be in Key Stage 1 and the other will be in Key Stage 2.
Over the duration of this Award you can earn up to 90 Masters level credits (that is equivalent to half a Masters).
In order to apply for a school direct placement you will need:-
· To be a graduate with a 2:2 degree or higher.
· To evidence that you have a grade C or above in English, Maths and Science at GCSE level.

It is essential that applicants have 10 days in-school experience prior to application and communication skills are high.
We have experience of working with many Universities for Initial Teacher Training and can offer outstanding teaching experiences in a variety of settings with children from 3-11 years.
Many of these aspects are led by current school practitioners / leaders in their field. In order to ensure employability and that our trainees are meeting the needs of the sector we enrich the core provision through school based twilight sessions i.e. KiVa training, growth mind-sets, Forest Schools, Philosophy for Children, Co-operative learning techniques and an arts based residential.
