Mrs Jen Harrison

I am a class teacher in Reception and also hold the post of Foundation Stage Manager. I qualified as a teacher in 1999 and taught across the primary age range in schools in Rainow and Bollington before joining Black Firs in 2014.

I  am married and have three children who are in Y1, Y4 and Y6 at Black Firs. I knew as soon as I viewed the school when applying for my eldest son's school place that Black Firs was special. Having seen my own children thrive on their journey through school, I was excited to have the opportunity to be part of the team here.

I am a governor and this has given me the opportunity to work with parents and the community and be part of a team that is taking Black Firs forward. The role has really helped me realise how special our school is, and what we want the school to look like in the future.

My spare time seems to be spent ferrying my own children to and from various sporting activities, but when time allows I enjoy reading and catching up with family and friends. I also enjoy running, albeit quite slowly!
